(6) Opening Sequence 2: To kill a mockingbird

The second sequence is to kill a mockingbird; the first frame starts off with the distributing company "Universal International". The frame also informs us, that Edward Muhl was in charge of production. There's a piano that plays in the background throughout the first frame and the transition, however in the next scene a boy can be heard humming. The setting of every frame is in black and white and the each scene contains objects of: children toys or items that symbolise childhood. The name of the film appears through the scribbles on a piece of paper from a black crayon. The sequence has a sense of foreshadowing, as the sequence is from a perspective of a child; there's a sense of innocence. However, the title, the use of black and white foreshadow an element of darkness in the sequence. Afterwards, a ticking clock is heard for a brief second showing the name of actors/actresses. Then, classical music plays whilst we still hear the sounds the boy makes. The names of actors/actresses and crew members are seen more frequently.
