(6) Film title analysis: Saturday Night Fever

The first title sequence I've chosen, Saturday night fever starts with a frame set in New York City showing the Brooklyn bridge and skyscrapers; including background noises of traffic. The next frame then presents the distributing company "Paramount Pictures Studios" in  sans serif font in red located on the middle of the frame. The colour, location of credit will remain the same throughout the sequence. However the font changes once.
The next frame shows the production company ( A Robert Stigwood production) with the city in the background. The angles from 11-36 seconds are high and quite fast paced showing the Brooklyn area. This leads us to a scene, of the local subway at 37 seconds introducing the name of John Travolta as the main character; including sounds of the train and traffic below the subway bridge.
The background traffic decreases as a soundtrack from the Bee Gees Saturday night fever increases after the name of the main actor has been introduced. The first introduction, the audience gets with the actor is in the next scene set on the main street. Including a close-up of a shoe he compares with his own. The following scene is still a close-up of his shoes walking in line with the beat of the soundtrack. Whist, he walks the first word "Saturday" of the film is in a: neon light disco display font and at 4 second intervals the words "Night" and "Fever" appear.
In the next scene as he walks down the street the credits start to introduce other actors/actresses and various crew and team members. Although the soundtrack is still playing we can still hear the sound of traffic and people in the background.
After a few frames, there's dialogue between him and a waitress; we learn that his name is Tony as well as him being a fashionable character. Also that he works in a paint shop.
