The first title sequence that I have chosen is 'Black Sails.' The first thing that is presented within the title sequence is a sea of water with the first actor central on the screen. The order of the credits begins with the actors then casting followed by music, costume designer, editor, co-producer then producer etc. Each frame changes swiftly along with the credits which is in serif font. The setting is quite dark and shows a high contrast between dark and light areas of the frame. The title sequence involves different marble statues which portray battle, death and war through the use of swords, pitch forks and facial expressions of the statues. The music is quite dramatic and eerie which creates suspense and emphasises the sense of battle. The scene suggests that the movie is based on the 19th century.
The second title sequence that I have chosen is 'Avengers.' In this sequence they show the Avengers items, I.E. the costume of Iron Man and the shield of Captain America. On of each of these items is the names of the people who directed, produced and starred in the film. This makes the connection between behind the scenes and the actual movie seem more authentic. The names of the actors come up next to their costumes for example Chris Evans name comes next to his Captain America star and Robert Downing Jr's name appears next to his Iron Man Costume. In the title sequence it involves a continuous shot and shows the movement of the camera from one item to the next which engages the audience and gives an implication that the movie is going to be fast paced.
