(53) Blogging Health Check 3
Feedback:
43 posts out of a possible 51 at health check 3. There is some improvement here Ryanna which is good to see - you've gone back and completed some of the missing posts at health check 2. As we move into the final stages of the project there are some things that you will need to do in order to pull this grade into the B area (14+). So set aside an hour or two over the holidays to sort the following:
1. Get the order of the blogs roughly right - at the moment you are a bit all over the place with some late research posts posted after you've started filming. This will confuse the moderator (and confuses me a bit too). Use the SWOT analysis hand-out that I gave you on Wednesday to do your self audit and work out where the gaps are and which order things should be in. Doing this alone will help you increase your mark by 1 already.
2. Can you complete the missing posts - 26 (important audience post) and 46 (evidence of the filming sessions). At the moment there isn't any evidence that filming took place beyond the rough cut - read the blogging checklist for guidance as to how to present this.
3. In conjunction with your group can you move the draft production schedule to a more suitable place - at the moment it's posted AFTER the final production schedule which doesn't make sense.
Great potential for a B or even higher if you are able to tidy the blog up a bit. You can do it...
My Response:
To improve my grade I will arrange my blog posts in order so that it is more easier to tell what blog posts are missing. I also will include evidence of filming and post it as a blog. As a group we need to move the draft production to a more suitable place.

(53) Blogging Health Check 3
Feedback:
Rohima, your blog is very promising and suggests lots of potential. You have a reasonable blog post count of 48 at the time of marking but, since the pitch your blog and evidence of your coursework, has become less strong and there are big gaps in your blog with little evidence of your filming or editing. It is essential that you read through the feedback below and complete the to do / targets at the bottom of the page - as if you do not improve your frequency of posting or provide evidence of filming or drafting, your blogging mark is likely to drop further, which would be a pity and certainly wouldn't reflect the hard work, creativity and potential that I see in class.strengths:
- nice planning evidence
- nice use of ICT
- some reflection in your posts
- most planning tasks completed and detailed
weaknesses:
- time management - big gap between 30/11 an 16/12
- order of blog tasks is haphazard eg draft production schedule is after the final production schedule - there needs to be a logical order to your posts
- no evidence of filming or organised use of actors / locations
- no evidence of editing
My response:
I will start to update my blog at least once or twice a week outside of lesson or in lesson making sure that I keep my blog active rather than keeping a big gap in blog posting.I will also make sure to include my evidence of filming as a group and the evidence of editing our title sequence. I will also make sure that I keep my blog posts organised by putting the posts on logical order based on the timeline of our posts.
SMART TARGETS:
Blogging Healthcheck 3
Feedback:
46 post at health check 3. A small drop between this and the last check because there are some things that are still missing. Your blogs for planning are strong and there is potential to sort out the missing posts and increase the grade significantly so all is not lost. Just ensure that you read through the targets below and act on them:
1. Complete missing posts 16 (currently a titled empty post - analysing sound in film), 24 (your individual ideas for the opening), 26/27 on audience - there is one padlet that is unfinished, and most recently 46 (evidence from filming sessions).
2. You've posted your 'draft' production schedule after the final one - can you sort that out and get them in the proper order? Otherwise it will be confusing for the moderator.
2. There needs to be much more in the way of evidence of the filming and editing process taking place - go back to the blogging checklist (copy on the blog if you can't find it) and produce some individual blogs that reflect on your contribution to the project and what you think is going well/needs to change.
3. Complete the Christmas holiday self-audit.
Great potential here - just need to set aside some time to do the above.
My Evaluation:
After reading my feedback, I've started to organise my work in chronological order. Also, I've completed blog posts 16 and 24 - I still need to complete the unfinished padlet and add more evidence for filming and editing. From now on I will keep my work organised and in order and adding more posts to increase my grade from a B to an A.
